K-Display 2025 Privacy Policy
Introduction
The Korea Display Industry Association (KDIA) values users' personal information and strives to comply with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and the Personal Information Protection Act. Through this personal information processing policy, KDIA informs users about the purposes and methods of using the personal information they provide, and the measures being taken to protect such information.

This privacy policy applies to all exhibitions organized by KDIA ("Exhibitions") and is effective from May 1, 2024.
1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information and Collected Items
(1) Purpose of Use
• Application for exhibition pre-registration/on-site registration, venue access management, marketing, discount or free admission through pre-registration, admission tag issuance for on-site registration, provision of exhibition advertisements and newsletters.
• Member management, service improvement, and development of new services.
• Verification of event participation, use in marketing and advertising.
• Service provision and analysis based on demographic characteristics.
• Development of new services, response to inquiries and complaints, and announcements.
• Analysis of service usage records, access frequency, usage statistics, privacy-focused service environment building, provision of customized services, and service improvement.

(2) Collection of Personal Information
• Member identification, confirmation of registration intent, age verification, and prevention of misuse.
• Verification of legal representative’s consent and identity when collecting data of children under 14.
2. Items and Methods of Personal Information Collection
(1) Items Collected
Required: Name, affiliation, department, job title, address, mobile phone, email, country, registration route, company type, business type, interest, job type, purchase authority, purpose of visit, number of visits.
Optional: Interested companies.

(2) Collection Methods
• When a user directly agrees to provide personal information during membership registration or exhibition participation.
• When information is received from affiliated services or partner organizations.
• Participation in online/offline events.

(3) Consent to Collection
• Consent is obtained via procedures that allow users to click "Agree" or "Disagree" buttons. Clicking "Agree" implies consent to the collection.

(4) Automatically Collected Items
Device information (OS, screen size, device ID), IP address, cookies, visit date and time, misuse records, and service usage data may be automatically collected.
3. Retention and Use Period
Once the purpose of collecting and using personal information is fulfilled, the data will be destroyed without delay. However, in accordance with legal obligations, certain data may be retained as follows:

• Contracts or cancellations: 5 years (E-Commerce Act)
• Payment and supply records: 5 years (E-Commerce Act, Commercial Act, Tax Laws)
• Complaints/disputes: 3 years (E-Commerce Act)
• Advertising records: 6 months (E-Commerce Act)
• Site visit logs: 3 months (Communications Secrets Protection Act)

4. Destruction Procedure and Method
(1) Procedure
KDIA selects personal data subject to deletion and proceeds after obtaining approval from the data protection officer.

(2) Method
Electronic data: Irretrievably deleted using technical means.
Paper documents: Shredded or incinerated.
5. Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling
To facilitate services, KDIA outsources the following tasks and supervises the contractors to ensure compliance with regulations:

• Entry service and booth visitor management: Seojin Infotech Co., Ltd.
• DM production and distribution: Seojin Infotech Co., Ltd.
• Bulk message sending: Seojin Infotech Co., Ltd.
• Kakao notifications and mobile invitations: Seojin Infotech Co., Ltd.
6. Provision to Third Parties
Personal information is shared only under user consent or specific legal provisions.

• Co-organizers: Promotion and information delivery – Retention: 5 years
• Participating companies: Booth CRM – Retention: 3 years
• KEIPA: Exhibition certification – Retention: 1 year
• Gangnam-gu Office: Quarantine guidance – Retention: 1 year
• Seoul Metropolitan Government/STO: Survey – Retention: 1 year
7. Rights and Methods of Exercise
Users may:
• Request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of their personal data.
• Exercise these rights via writing, phone, email, or fax.
• Designate a legal representative with an appropriate power of attorney.
• KDIA may limit or refuse requests in accordance with laws.
• During correction or deletion, KDIA will not use the concerned data.
8. Cookies and Rejection Policy
(1) Purpose
Cookies are used for auto-login, tracking preferences, visit statistics, and personalized marketing.

(2) Rejection
Users can manage cookie settings in their browser. Refusal may limit service functionality.
9. Safety Measures
(1) Administrative: Management plans, staff training
(2) Technical: Access control, encryption, security software
(3) Physical: Access control for IT and document storage rooms

(4) Unsolicited Email Policy: KDIA prohibits unauthorized collection of email addresses.
(5) Advertising: No unsolicited marketing messages without consent.
