The Korea Display Industry Association (KDIA)" (hereinafter referred to as "KDIA") values users' personal information and strives to comply with the Information and Communication Network Utilization Promotion and Information Protection Act and the Personal Information Protection Act." Through the personal information processing policy, KDIA informs you of the purpose and method of using the personal information provided by users and what measures are being taken to protect personal information.

This personal information processing policy applies to all exhibitions organized by KDIA (hereinafter referred to as "exhibitions"), which will take effect on May 1, 2024.

1. Purpose of processing personal information and items to collect

Personal information is processed for the following purposes. If the purpose of use is changed, necessary measures will be implemented, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

•Personal information is processed for the purpose of applying for exhibition/site registration, using it for exhibition access management and marketing, providing discounts and free admission benefits through exhibition registration, issuing admission tags when registering on site, and providing exhibition advertisements and newsletters.
•Used for member management, service provision improvement, new service development, etc.
•Event/event participation confirmation, marketing, advertising, etc.
• Analyzing and providing services based on demographic characteristics
•Develop new services, provide various services, handle inquiries or complaints, and deliver announcements
•Use to record service usage, access frequency and service usage statistics, establish a service environment in terms of privacy protection, provide customized services, and improve services

(2) Collection of personal information
When signing up for membership or in the process of using the service, we collect the minimum personal information necessary to provide the service through the website or individual applications or programs as follows.
•Identify members/confirm their intention to sign up, check their age, and prevent illegal use
•Checking the consent of the legal representative when collecting personal information for children under the age of 14 and identifying yourself when exercising the right of the legal representative

When collecting personal information, we must inform the user in advance and seek consent, and collect personal information through the following methods.
•When a user agrees to collect personal information and enters the information directly during membership registration and visit to the exhibition
• When personal information is provided from affiliated services or organizations, etc.
• Participate in events/events held online and offline

(3) Consent to collect personal information
When collecting personal information, we must inform the user in advance and seek consent, and collect personal information through the following methods.
•A procedure for clicking the "I agree" button or the "I disagree" button is prepared for the contents of the KDIA's personal information protection policy or terms of use, and if you click the "I agree" button, it is considered that you have agreed to collect personal information.

(4) Items of personal information collected from users in the process of using other services
Information such as terminal information (OS, screen size, device ID), IP address, cookie, visit date and time, fraudulent usage records, and service usage records can be automatically generated and collected during PC web and mobile web/app use.

3. Retention and use period of personal information

After the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved, the information is destroyed without delay, and if it is necessary to preserve it in accordance with the provisions of related laws, KDIA stores the member information for a certain period of time as follows. 4. Procedures and methods for destroying personal information

When personal information becomes unnecessary, such as the expiration of the personal information retention period and the achievement of the purpose of processing, KDIA destroys the personal information without delay.
If the personal information period agreed by the data subject has elapsed or the purpose of processing has been achieved, the personal information shall be transferred to a separate database (DB) or stored differently.
The procedure and method for destroying personal information are as follows.

(1) Revocation procedure
KDIA selects personal information that has caused the reason for destruction and destroys the personal information with the approval of the company's personal information protection manager.

(2) How to destroy it
KDIA destroys personal information recorded and stored in the form of an electronic file using a technical method that cannot reproduce records, and destroys personal information recorded and stored in paper documents by crushing or incinerating them with a shredder.

5. Entrustment of personal information handling work

KDIA entrusts the following tasks for smooth service delivery.
We entrust personal information to external companies to perform some of the essential tasks for providing services. In addition, we manage and supervise the entrusted company so that it does not violate the relevant laws and regulations.

KDIA provides personal information to third parties only in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as the consent of the data subject and special provisions of the law.

7. Rights, obligations, and methods of exercise of the information subject

•The information subject may exercise the following personal information protection-related rights against KDIA at any time, and if the consent to collection is rejected, restrictions on entry to the event may arise.

•If the data subject requests correction or deletion of personal information errors, etc., KDIA will not use or provide the personal information until the correction or deletion is completed.
•The exercise of rights under paragraph (1) may be carried out through a legal representative of the information subject or an agent such as a delegated person. In this case, you must submit a power of attorney in accordance with attached Form 11 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act.
•The data subject shall not infringe on the personal information and privacy of the data subject himself or another person handled by the KDIA in violation of related laws such as the Personal Information Protection Act.

8. Matters concerning the installation and operation of an automatic personal information collection device and its refusal

In order to provide individual customized services, KDIA also uses a "cookie" that stores usage information and calls it from time to time. Cookies are a small amount of information sent by the server (http) used to run the website to the user's computer browser and are also stored on the user's hard disk within the user's PC computer.

Users have the option to install cookies. Therefore, you can allow all cookies by setting options in your web browser, go through a check whenever cookies are saved, or refuse to save all cookies. However, if the user refuses to install cookies, there may be difficulties in providing the service.

9. Implementation of safety measures for the collected personal information

KDIA refuses to allow published email addresses to be collected without permission using an e-mail collection program or other technical device. Violation of this may be punished by the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Use and Information Protection, etc.
